Full disclosure: I own Samsung corporate stock.
CONS about this unit:
-Poor quality output; grainy, uneven colour and streaky near the end of the drum unit's rated life. -Poor paper handling; fails to print on pages smaller than standard size; hopeless at printing envelopes. -Outrageous consumable costs. -Toner cartridges have a kill switch after a certain page count, so if your pages have low toner coverage you will be throwing away 1/2 full toner cartridges for no good reason. -Drum life rating must be cut by 1/4 as each colour pass counts as 1 page, even if almost no colour is used; My printer gave me a drum replacement error at 6000 pages and stopped working. Since the image drum replacement costs around the same price as the printer consider this a disposable printer after 6000 pages. I kicked mine onto the curb for the garbage collector to haul away. -In a nutshell, this printer is an environmental catastrophe. -Smelly (toxic plastic and ozone smell) for the first few thousand pages.
PROS
NONE - Stay away from this junk.
In Samsung's defence, most laser printers from all manufacturers at this price point are junk.
Do yourself a favour: spend a $1000 on a real office grade printer. You will end up paying it one way or the other. "Bargain priced" printers are an illusion. Bad quality and rip-off consumables = outrageous cost/page, no matter how low the up-front cost is. If you can't afford a real laser printer do yourself a favour and don't buy one. |
| Problems: Everything! Too bad there is not a zero (or even a negative) rating. 1 star is too high. Samsung--you should be ashamed of yourself! |

| i love my samsung clp-320. it's absolutely elegant and the quality of its printing is excellent. My only problem is I should have waited for the wifi series so our work would be much more productive. Anyway that model is not yet available here in my country (Philippines) and i have to wait for next month. My work can't wait. I just wish I can ask the dealer to upgrade my samsung to wifi. Before I'm using Canon Pixma first it was okay but when it broke down, its service center here just gave me a headache.... goodbye pixma color inkjet......no more canon printer for me |
