Not at all happy with this printer! I might need to buy a new one after just two months of having this one.
Problems: I do not use the printer every day. I might leave the printer idle for a whole week. Then, every time I use it I have to perform several times the print head cleaning. Not to talk about the fact that the last cyan ink cartridge I bought lasted probably 10 pages and then the printer already started advising for the need to replace the cartridge!

Continue to have alignment problems when printing word.doc, excel, word pad and note pad. Exchanged for second printer, same results. Had student purchase the C410 and have the same alignment problem. Three printers tested on four different computers.Software used was Office 2003 and 2010.
Went to local Best Buy and tested the floor model by the Geek Squad. Had same alignment problems. HP will not help. |

The features are good for this printer. The scan and copy functions work well. However, the wireless printer function is a major problem. I have worked with two separate tech persons online from HP and they were not able to assist me other than referring me to their Mac support. The wireless printing worked for 3 days and disappeared and the only way it works is when the printer is physically unplugged and then plugged in again. Definitely not a feature that I figured would cause the problems. After three weeks the problem is not solved and the wireless printing is one of the main reasons I bought the HP.
Problems: Wireless printing is dismal.

This is a great printer in many respects. The quality of the print is excellent.
Problems: I spent 9 hours on the phone with HP to get the scanning features to work. The drivers only work on the scanner with Windows 7. They would not download into my Vista or XP computers. Therefore I am returning this printer to buy something else. Otherwise this is a great all-in-one. Maybe they will design some kind of fix, not available at this time.

I do not traditionally write reviews, but this printer deserves one. This is a great printer, especially for the price. As another reviewer mentioned HP really put some thought into its packaging. It is so easy to take out of the box and know where everything is. The accessory bag and large recyclable tote bag is a great idea and really helped set up. I use a home network for my desktop and laptop, so I was really anxious to see how the wireless capability worked. All I did was plug it in to the power outlet and started the set up process, selected wireless and it went to work setting itself up. Once the printer was done I put the CD into my desktop then my laptop and the wireless function works great. I love that I can print from anywhere in my house. I also love that I don’t have to use a USB cable to plug it in to the computer. All the print features work great. The paper feeder feeds the paper very nicely and prints double sided without any issues. The only thing I cannot comment on is the use of ink. I am still on the original cartridges.
I would like to make a few comments to some of the negative reviews I have read before I purchased this printer, mainly because I found myself reading more reviews to justify myself making this purchase. My strongest advice to those reading the reviews is to make this purchase, you will not be disappointed. Do not pay attention to the negative reviews. Everything about this printer is great. And I am a very picky person. I specifically wanted a printer with many functions as well as a great photo printer. The quality of the photo is amazing. Definitely professional quality. I believe some of the negative reviews were made by individuals who either cannot read instructions or feel they do not need to. The written set up instructions was minimal, but stated everything you need to know to set it up properly.
I highly recommend this printer for all your printing, copying, faxing, and scanning needs from basic to advanced printing.
