Awesome printer. Great printing and scanning. Photocopy function is quite good as well. Scans wirelessly easily to my PC, hopefully will do so when I get my Mac. Macs do not usually have good printer/scanner drivers written for them. You have to enable the wireless scanning in the Device Stage of Win7, but that's a simple click. Love the fact the photo paper stays in the printer at all times. Also like the power save function. You will need that because this thing takes 2 minutes to turn on. Better just to leave it on and enable power saver.
Problems: Takes 2 minutes to turn on.

Printer OK but has an issue with scan capability. The fix for my computer - Dell Studio 8100 running windows 7 pro was to go to control panel, windows firewall, advanced settings, inbound rules. Disable firewall for HP device setup and HP network communicator. (HP Printer Only)
It seems that the firewall running on this OS blocks input scanning from this printer. |

Printer good, scan to computer bad.
Problems: Scan to computer or scan from comuter is real problem. Try using Windows type program like "paint" to get scan. The WIA in windows MAY work. Avoid going to HP on line as they put my computer on a trip back for repairs. Some sugested a hot fix from Microsoft to the WIA. ----Good luck

Love the wireless capability but it only works for printing, not scanning.
Problems: From day one, the scanner has had issues. One time it will work, the next time it will not. Having problems both wirelessly and when connected by USB. After doing a little googling, it appears many other owners are having trouble getting the scanner to work. Some have contacted HP with no positve outcome. There do not appear to be any updates that correct this issue.
